Benjamin Goro Gimba’s involvement with the National DDR Commission goes back to the formative stages of the institution and he played pivotal role in developing and establishing the Commission.  He first started as the Executive Director of the Commission and was later appointed as Director General of the Commission, essentially the technical head of the institution with overall responsibility on programmes and operations. Following that, he was appointed as a Member of the Commission.

Previously Mr Gimba has worked with UN, international organisations, the government and private sector in UK, Switzerland, Egypt, Kenya, Somalia and Uganda, amongst others.  Gimba has a MSc degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Reading in UK and a BCom degree in Administration and Management, Daystar University, Kenya.
